Where Can I Find A Medieval Style Dollhouse Kit?

where can i find a doll house kit that looks like a medieval manor or a renaissance castle in a one inch scale? the closest i’ve found are the cheap plastic doll houses that mattel makes. i want a wooden kit that can last, like my mother’s doll house that she had when she was a child and is still in good condition. i’ve seen some tudor and cottage style doll house kits, but that’s not the look i’m going for. i want a doll house kits that doesnt look victorian, doesnt have a porch, and has large rounded towers. i want a real wooden dollhouse kit, not some kiddie toy that looks like a box and has plastic furniture. if you know a lot about miniatures, please answer!!!

Here’s a plan you could adapt by just repeating the turret. No kit, but I’m sure it comes with a list of materials needed. http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?Fam…

there’s actually one on ebay right now, but it’s already assembled and costs $150.
go to ebay and search for dollhouse castle.

    Hmmmm… I liked Kracky’s link… as I always do.
The site looks like it has some good kits as well as raw materials.
Would be nice to get a better idea of what period / location you seek… medieval OR renaissance… England, France, Italy ? Level of accuracy ? Use: dollhouse or a museum display piece ?
I’ve made several French and German Chateau’s in 1/35 scale… for the most part, I use 1/8th or 1/16th inch plywood and basswood “timbers”… with cast hydrocal (plaster) stones. All done from photos, drawings, and plans rather than kits for various WWII armor dioramas. I really prefer to scratch build or “kit-bash” (take a kit and modify to my own needs).
I wish you luck !! Check your local Hobby shop (railroad section), and do a Yahoo! Yellow pages search for “dollhouse supplies”… there is a TERRIFIC dollhouse store / school in San Carlos California that I use for building “houses” for window-display.
