When you were a little girl did you have a dolls house? I did and I have fond memories of the many hours that I played with it so many years later.
The one that I had was white with a red roof and trim. I loved to decorate the rooms and make tiny curtains for the windows. I also grew a miniature garden for my dollshouse, with help from my grandmother.
There were special outings with my mum to buy hand crafted dolls house furniture for my beautiful little doll house. We would visit a shop in the town where a man made the doll house furniture onsite. It was fascinating watching him and the shop was like a treasure trove for little girls with doll houses.

Now I have a grand daughter and she is almost at the age where she might look after and treasure her dolls house – I know what she will be getting for Christmas and birthdays!
